Remote Sensing Technologies for the Environment

The main objective of Nisida Environment is to accelerate the ecological transition through the development of innovative processes applied to environmental monitoring. Emission control is a key element of this path: an effective environmental legislation, in fact, is insufficient without constant field verification of its rigorous application.

With significant experience in environmental permit control and monitoring of industrial discharges and water bodies, Nisida Environment has decided to invest in new technologies to support environmental monitoring. This led to the creation of Nisida Technologies Srl, a corporate spin-off dedicated to integrating digital solutions and advanced technologies into environmental monitoring services.

DEMETRA

A New Approach to Environmental Monitoring

Through the "DEMETRA - Innovative Environmental Monitoring System" project, Nisida Technologies aims to optimize the efficiency of environmental monitoring, in line with the mission of its parent company, ensuring increasingly precise and timely territorial control. The adoption of innovative tools such as remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and advanced data analysis will improve the quality of interventions and enable more accurate monitoring of environmental matrices.

Nisida Technologies supports competent authorities and management bodies in environmental monitoring and territorial control activities, providing operational support through specialized operators in the inspection of industrial facilities and the prevention of environmental offenses. The proposed methodology is based on the integration of advanced technologies, including:

Drones and ROVs

For aerial and underwater monitoring

Video inspection systems

For the control of industrial discharge systems and sewage networks

Data analysis

Using machine learning for advanced management of the collected information

This innovative approach will make environmental monitoring faster and more efficient, while also allowing the integration of collected data into client information systems (industrial activity databases, GIS systems, etc.).
