Production and Distribution of the First Documentary on the Abandoned Industrial Area of Bagnoli-CoroglioNisida Environment has recently completed a major environmental awareness project, producing a 55-minute documentary film and a photographic exhibition. This initiative has become a powerful tool to highlight the connection between environmental degradation, economic crisis, and social impacts. The documentary follows the story of two young residents of the neighborhood, documenting their daily lives and their encounter with youth activists from the Osservatorio Popolare per la Bonifica. Through this interaction, the protagonists become aware of the environmental impacts of the past and develop a renewed sense of ownership over their territory. The film also establishes a connection with other deindustrialized sites in Europe, emphasizing the transnational dimension of the issue. For project funding, in addition to internal investment, a crowdfunding campaign was launched, raising €18,000. The project also received financial support from the Film Commission Regione Campania and the Fondazione Banco di Napoli. The documentary was showcased at film festivals in 2024 and will soon be available on TV and online. For more information: |
