Development and Organization of a Webinar on Public-Private Collaboration in Addressing Environmental EmergenciesIn collaboration with the Master’s Program in "Interdisciplinary Approaches to Climate Change" at the University of Milan, Nisida Environment organized a seminar for students focused on public-private collaboration in managing environmental emergencies. During the event, Andrea Palomba, an executive at GORI Spa, and Raffaele Vaccaro engaged in a discussion with students, presenting ongoing environmental initiatives in the Vesuvian area. A key topic was the collaboration between the Integrated Water Service and Nisida Environment in monitoring and controlling industrial discharges. The webinar provided an in-depth analysis of the environmental and socio-economic challenges of the Sarno River Basin, highlighting how social entrepreneurship can support public authorities in addressing serious environmental issues. Additionally, the event marked the conclusion of a training period for a student from the University of Milan, who contributed to data analysis from industrial discharge monitoring operations and helped organize the webinar alongside fellow university students.
