Introduction of Innovative Biotechnologies for Wastewater and Water Body Treatment in the Italian MarketNisida Environment has supported Idrabel, a Belgian company specializing in biotechnology, in re-entering the Italian market after several years of absence. The company conducted a market analysis, identifying potential clients and matching them with Idrabel’s products, while also classifying them based on priority. A commercial strategy was then developed to boost sales. Between 2019 and 2021, several clients in Southern Italy, including GORI Spa, ABC as, and the Municipality of Praia a Mare, adopted Idrabel’s solutions. This allowed the company to gather recent case studies in the Italian market, which were later leveraged for further commercial expansion. Additionally, the new activities in Italy contributed to the enhancement of the technology, as it had to be adapted to local challenges related to wastewater management and water body treatment. The collaboration with Idrabel continues in the European project development field, with the technology being included in the LIFE Sedremed project (already funded) and the preparation of further project proposals.
