Scafati: Collaboration Begins Between Nisida Environment and the Municipality for Industrial Discharge Monitoring
Scafati, Italy – The collaboration between Nisida Environment and the Municipality of Scafati has officially begun, aimed at strengthening the monitoring and control of industrial discharges within the municipal territory. The activity will particularly focus on companies discharging wastewater into the Sarno River and its canals and tributaries, one of the most critical areas for water pollution in Campania.
This marks a significant step for the Agro Nocerino-Sarnese region: for the first time, a municipality in the area has chosen to rely on an external company to enhance industrial discharge inspection and verification activities in surface water bodies. This decision represents an innovation in environmental protection, contributing to a more efficient management of local water resources.
The municipal administration welcomed the launch of the project, emphasizing that, thanks to Nisida Environment's contribution, it will be possible to achieve greater environmental control over local industries. The initiative is part of the broader Sarno River remediation strategy, aiming to improve water quality and support decontamination objectives by 2025.
This collaboration represents a crucial milestone in the fight against pollution in the Sarno River basin, paving the way for new synergies between public administrations and specialized partners to achieve more effective and sustainable environmental protection.
